Why soft wash
Blasting it off buys you a season.
High pressure clears the growth but takes the surface of your roof with it — cracked tiles, damaged pointing, stripped coatings and water forced under the flashings. A rougher roof holds more water, so the growth comes back faster than before.

How does the treatment work?+
We apply a biocide soft wash at low pressure. It soaks into the growth and kills it at the root. Over the following months the dead moss, lichen and algae loosen and the rain and wind carry it away.
How long until my roof looks clean?+
Typically between 3 and 18 months, depending on how heavy the growth is and the weather. On the day your roof will look much the same — that's normal.
Why not just pressure clean it?+
High pressure strips the surface off your tiles, cracks tiles, damages pointing and drives water under the flashings. A rougher roof then holds more water, so the growth comes back faster.
Is it safe for my garden, pets and family?+
Yes. We apply it carefully at low pressure and protect surrounding areas. We just ask that pets are kept inside while we work.
Do I need to be home?+
No. We work from the outside and don't need to come into the house. We just need safe access to the property.
What if it rains on the day?+
Light rain after application is fine once the treatment has had time to absorb. If heavy rain is forecast, we'll reschedule at no cost.
Will it come back?+
Spores land on every roof eventually. The treatment keeps working on the surface for an extended period, and staying on top of it is far easier than the first treatment.
